My Favroite Olympic Swimmer

My favorite swimmer in the olympics is Micheal Phelps even though he is retiring at a young age he is still my favorite because he is the most decorated olympian ever! I see Micheal Phelps as a role model to me and even though I may not be a swimming prodigy like him I still hope some day to swim for my favorite college UNC and if I'm good enough maybe go to even a higher level of swimming.

The Hardest event

Usually in swimming people think the 500 freestyle is the hardest event but I am going to tell you from experience it's not. The hardest event is by far the 400I.M. because it involves all four strokes and the hardest stroke which is butterfly is first and if you've ever swam a 100 butterfly you would know how demanding it is in terms of upperbody muscles. The 500 is not as hard because when you swim the 500 you either keep a good pace so your not as tired by the end of the race or if your really up to it you can sprint the whole 20 lengths of the pool. The reason you can sprint it is because you get a huge adrenaline rush and your body gets very numb so you can't even feel a thing.
